Recently, there are some errors and misleading <\/span>information in a press release regarding Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd.(\u201cSeoul Semiconductor\u201d) <\/span>Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. (“Everlight”) hereby issues the following clarification: <\/span><\/p>\n

In 2018, Everlight filed a patent opposition with the European Patent Office (EPO) against Seoul <\/span>Semiconductor\u2019s EP2656402B1 patent (“EP402 patent”). During the review process, Seoul <\/span>Semiconductor restricted the claims of the patent to maintain its validity, but significantly limited the <\/span>technical applications, specifically requiring the central wavelength of the LED to be 550 nanometers. <\/span>As a result, the range of products covered by the patent was substantially reduced. The EP402 patent <\/span>pertains to DBR technology, which is not entirely the same as WICOP technology based on No Wire <\/span>LED technology, as claimed by Seoul Semiconductor in the press release.<\/span><\/p>\n
