Shulin Dist., New Taipei City– August 10, 2026– Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. (TWSE: 2393), a global provider of optoelectronic components, today held the groundbreaking ceremony for its new manufacturing facility in Chachoengsao, Thailand, marking a major step in the company’s global manufacturing and supply-chain expansion.
The new facility is designed to support customers’ “China+1” strategies and strengthen Everlight’s manufacturing capabilities in Southeast Asia amid the continued regionalization of global supply chains. Construction begins this August, with the plant scheduled for completion and mass production in the second half of 2027.
The Thailand facility is expected to become Everlight’s largest and most advanced manufacturing base in Southeast Asia. Its overall scale is expected to exceed that of the company’s existing facility in Suzhou, China. The plant will incorporate highly automated and intelligent production lines to enhance manufacturing efficiency, production flexibility and product quality consistency.
Expanding Capacity for AI Servers, Automotive and Industrial Applications
Everlight continues to focus on high-growth applications, including optocouplers, automotive electronics, industrial automation and AI infrastructure.
Optocoupler products are expected to account for more than 40% of Everlight’s revenue, while automotive-related products continue to increase their contribution to the company’s overall business.
Once operational, the Thailand facility will support global automakers and Tier 1 suppliers, as well as customers in industrial automation and AI server markets. The additional manufacturing base will provide customers with greater production flexibility and localized supply-chain backup capabilities.
“Breaking ground on the Thailand facility represents an important foundation for Everlight’s globalization strategy for the next decade,” said Everlight. “The investment will strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of our global supply network, while enabling us to optimize our cost structure and leverage advanced packaging technologies.”
Strengthening Global Supply-Chain Resilience
The establishment of the Thailand facility comes amid changes in international trade policies and increasing geopolitical uncertainty. By expanding its manufacturing footprint outside China, Everlight aims to provide customers with greater supply-chain flexibility and reduce the potential impact of localized production disruptions.
The new facility will also support Everlight’s expansion in international markets and strengthen its ability to respond to customers’ regional sourcing requirements.
As demand continues to grow for automotive electronics, industrial automation and AI-related infrastructure, Everlight expects the Thailand facility to become an important component of its global manufacturing network and contribute to the company’s medium- to long-term growth following the start of mass production in the second half of 2027.
